Colton Pometta is a stage director based in Manhattan. His original work has been seen in eight different time zones, on three continents. 

International directing credits include the first Spanish adaptation of Adam Gwon’s Ordinary Days in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Teatro Border, the French premiere of Ordinary Days at La Comédie Nation, Island Song and Fifth Republic at Broadway au Carré in Paris, and The Tale of Sally McLaureen at Edinburgh Fringe.

 

Passionate about collaborating with contemporary writers, in NYC he has directed new work at Cherry Lane Theater, Second Stage Uptown, Primary Stages ESPA, 54 Below, Write Act Rep, Poisson Rouge, The Triad and Joe's Pub. He is the creator and director of The Songwriters' Salon, which features musical theater composers and lyricists bimonthly at The Triad Theatre.

Colton teaches Acting for Musical Theater at Harlem School of the Arts. He has also taught Musical Theater Collaboration at Concordia College,  

Playwriting for Circle in the Square and song interpretation masterclasses worldwide. A member of The Dramatists Guild, Colton has written librettos for musicals and adapts shows from other languages. He is co-founder of Stage Lingo, a company that enhances foreign language education through theater training. 

 

Colton is a proud graduate of Circle in the Square Theater School and Interlochen Arts Academy. He was also greatly inspired by courses he took abroad at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and Primary Stages ESPA in NYC. He is an alumnus of Directors Lab West at Pasadena Playhouse.
